  This was an incredible evening. The crew of the Monhegan were so delightful and professional. A rainy start turned into a beautiful sunset and cruise. We had reserved the 6 course dinner cruise and was fortunate enough to have the chef/owner of Chaval prepare our meal. Each course was phenomenal! I highly recommend Casco Bay Custom Charters and would rebook if I was ever in Portland again. Thank you Captain Nick and Lauren for an incredible experience.

  Exemplary experience with Casco Bay! Capt Nick and Lauren were very knowledgeable and pleasant, sharing unique facts and history about the area. The boat was gorgeous and very well kept. Warm blankets were a much appreciated touch as the sun set. Delicious wine selection made for a perfect evening on the water. Will absolutely be using them again on our next trip up! Thanks for everything guys, we had a blast!

  Casco Bay Custom Charters was wonderful to work with from start to finish. Communication was excellent, and the entire process was handled with professionalism, kindness, and compassion. I chartered the larger boat for a burial at sea for my mother, and it was everything I had hoped for. The crew made a difficult day feel seamless and allowed our family to focus on being together and honoring her life. I especially appreciated how they handled an additional guest joining our group. There was an additional charge, but they never brought it up during the charter or made anyone feel uncomfortable. They simply charged my card afterward, which I thought was very thoughtful and discreet. They also went out of their way to drop most of our group off on Peaks Island rather than having us return to Portland and take the ferry back. The remaining guests were brought back to Portland by the crew. It shortened the trip a bit, but we were happy with the arrangement and grateful for the accommodation. My only suggestion would be regarding pricing. We had a group of 11 people, and at about $170 per person for a two-hour trip, the overall structure felt geared more toward a standard charter experience. In hindsight, for a group like ours where only one person made use of the alcoholic beverages offered, it would have been nice to have an alternative pricing option better suited to a non-drinking memorial charter. That said, I understood the pricing when I booked, and the service, flexibility, and compassion we received made the experience worthwhile. The boat was comfortable, the crew was thoughtful and accommodating, and they helped us create a beautiful and meaningful farewell for my mother. Their kindness, sensitivity, and attention to detail allowed us to focus on celebrating her life rather than worrying about logistics. We are deeply grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend Casco Bay Custom Charters.

  Wonderful way to see Casco Bay … and the food.wine for the evening were outstanding… Chef Damian from Chaval really rocked it out. The crew on the boat was also fantastic, attentive and knowledgeable about the Bay, etc. Whether you are local like us, or visiting, this is a must do.
