  We booked a 4-hour inshore trip out of Darien during an anniversary getaway, and it was a fantastic afternoon. As someone who has fished with family throughout my life but isn't a 'pro,' I really appreciated the crew’s expertise. We chose the Intracoastal area near St. Simons to ensure calm waters and avoid motion sickness, and it was a perfect, smooth ride with beautiful weather. The captain and mate were punctual and clearly knew the local waters well. They handled all the bait (fiddler crabs and shrimp) and tackle for us. Even during a slower time of day, they were persistent in moving us to several different spots to make sure we stayed on the fish. Their hard work paid off, and we caught a great variety: sheepshead, trout, flounder, and two small sharks! They also cleaned and packed our catch for us at the end of the trip. A relaxing, stress-free and productive way to enjoy the Georgia coast.

  My son wanted to catch redfish for his birthday last September. We'll, we traveled to North Carolina and did not catch anything. Fast forward to Feb 2026, he wanted to try again. I found Coastal GA fishing and expressed my concern for giving my son an opportunity to catch redfish. I understand that nothing is guaranteed, so I didn't put that expectation on the captain Jay, my son would've been pleased if he caught anything with fins. Well, the team at Coastal GA fishing fulfilled my son's wishes! Captain Bill and Maggie were awesome! First and foremost the captain made sure we were safe, the boat ride was smooth and had plenty of comfortable space. Next came the fishing, he put us on the spots deep in the marsh and we caught redfish, sheepshead and black drum. He was very knowledgeable about the water and taught my kids lessons about baits and fish biting habits. Now for the ultimate experience.... watching Maggie hook the fish. This young lady, Maggie, she knows how to fish, she could put her line three inches from your line and catch a big sheepshead or redfish. She was knowledgeable and helpful with everything. The most fun I had was watching my son achieve the moment of fighting a redfish, he smiled all the way during our 10 hour road trip. I highly recommend Coastal GA Fishing, and Highly recommend Captain Bill and Captain Maggie. If you are looking for a great, safe and fun experience this is the company you want to consider. We will return, they have our business.

  What a great experience going out with Captain Bill and Maggie. Thanks to some great weather we eased out of the Blue n Hall marina and quickly got on some fish. I’ve never caught Sheephead like we did on this charter. We loaded the cooler along with some flounder and black drum. We caught reds but they were small but still fun. We even saw a manatee come right up to the boat near one of the docks we were fishing next to. Captain Bill and Maggie made sure to be very helpful and attentive of our needs. Once we returned they filleted our catch. I highly recommend this charter service. We plan to come back again. Thank you!

  I was a little worried that I was not being booked with Captain Jay. I received a message from him saying that my guide was Captain Tucker. I didn’t know what to expect… I showed up with a friend who only ever caught a small blue gill, nothing else. Captain Tucker set him up on an abundant pocket and my buddy set a PR and caught the first fish on the first cast! We didn’t go during the peak of any one season, but I was thoroughly entertained and caught the fish of a lifetime, a beautiful Creville Jack. I never thought we would catch anything like this on an inland trip, but Captain Tucker had the right rig and we were in the right place at the right time. While we didn’t fill the boat, we did catch a bunch of fish. Stop thinking about it and just book. This team is amazing. I’ll be referring them to all my friends.
