Had a great time fishing for late season Sand Dabs and pulling crab pots- nearly catching our limit. One of my buddies had never caught a fish before, but Capt. Carl set him up for success. Hot coffee on board was welcome. Pro tip: Only keep as many fish as you will eat! Our group of four had enough for a NYE feast for 10 friends AND a crab lunch the next day! Thanks again Capt. Carl!

Captain Carl made an extra special private charter for my father’s birthday. There were 3 of us on the boat trolling for Coho. We caught about 10 fish in 5 hours, with some catch and release kings because the season hadn’t opened yet. Carl’s knowledge of the salmon fishery and fishing grounds was an added bonus to all the action. I’d highly recommend his services as top notch for boat, equipment, and good company. 5 stars!

We’ve had multiple great experiences with Captain Carl. One back in March of 2024 and one today. Today we caught a late Coho keeper and a bunch of out-of-season Chinook—also Flounder, Rock Fish, and some type of shark. Did some crabbing as well. On our previous trip I believe we limited on Blackmouth Salmon. Also saw some seals up close, which was cool.

Captain Carl has been fishing the Puget Sound for over 30 years and has been a wonderful resource for me and many fisherman who are looking to stay up to date on locations, gear and the best times to chase salmon in the Puget Sound. The thing I like most about Carl is that he’s all about helping people catch more fish and not afraid to share his knowledge. I would highly recommend booking him for a charter because he is a pro!!
