  We fished with Captain Josh and Cory yesterday and had a blast. The conditions weren’t ideal but Josh went above and beyond to get us on fish (even if it meant using a significant amount of extra fuel to get there). Cory took care of the whole group all day and was funny and enjoyable to be around. We will certainly book again!

  11/10 experience with Captain Josh and Cory. Very patient and helpful with first timers in our group. We all had a blast and limited out on Red Snapper. Great communication starting at pre booking through the day of our charter. The boat is very comfortable with a/c in the cabin and a toilet. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

  We booked a 6 hour trip and had a blast! Captains Gary and Josh were great and made sure we got what we wanted out of the trip. Deckhand Tristan was super helpful and Johnny on the spot to help us bait and manage our catch. We caught enough vermilion snapper for two meals and watching Tristan filet them was something else! Obviously there are a lot of charter companies but this was our 3rd trip with Getaway and we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

  We had an awesome time with Get Away Charters in Gulf Shores! The kids had an absolute blast and stayed excited the entire trip. Captain Josh was great — super friendly, patient with the kids, and really knew where to put us on the fish. We stayed on fish most of the trip and ended up catching plenty. You can tell he works hard to make sure everyone has a great experience. Highly recommend Get Away Charters if you’re looking for a fun family fishing trip in Gulf Shores. We’ll definitely be back!
