  We planned a fly fishing trip to Bennington VT area and had the pleasure of hiring Christian from Green Mountain Angler to guide us. While anyone who fly fishes knows there are never any guarantees on the river, Green Mountain Angler crew will help you solve the “Rubik” cube of the river! Christian worked extremely hard to give us every advantage there is to land beautiful trout and have a wonderful experience. On every run he did adjustments quickly and precisely all while guiding the raft through some pretty tough conditions at times. Its hard work to be guide but the passion shines through with this company. Christian has a one hundred percent can do energetic positive outlook on the river and shows complete reverence for the trout, the river and the state. What a beautiful thing to behold.   My dad and I did a full wade trip with Andrew and had an absolute blast! Despite us both fly fishing for over ten years we learned a lot of new techniques and Andrew put us on a bunch of fish. He is very knowledgeable of the water and most effective practices. Would definitely recommend Green Mountain Angler to beginners or experienced fly fisherman alike for a classic Vermont fly fishing experience

  My wife and I had a great time. From meeting Christian at the Lancaster Fly Show to the morning of the trip, Christian was great to work with. Our guide that morning Dustin was awesome. My wife had never held a Fly rod and with in minutes of wadibg in, she had a fish on. Nice rainbow. I ended the day with a great brown trout. Great time, great people and great outfitter, thank you.

  My brother and I spent a couple of days drift fishing with Andrew and Christian in early May. The guides were exceptional and fishing was great. In particular, the guides expertly navigated the rivers through some tight spots, pointed out all the best fishing waters, picked the right flies and smoothly landed our fish. We were surprised by how many trophy sized browns and rainbows we were able to hook up on some quaint rivers.
