  We had a great experience with Will and Woody on the Strawberry River. Their knowledge, professionalism and patience is unprecedented. I considered myself a decent fly fisherman prior to this trip, but soon realized that I have a lot to learn. We hooked many Browns and landed a few. Local Waters is highly recommended. If you are ever in the Park City area book a trip, it will be an experience that you'll never forget.

  Absolutely great experience. Will, our guide, was awesome. Had us in the river all morning , changing flys, giving us guidance, and had us catching beautiful trouts. His knowledge of the area and river is spot on. He had a real passion for helping fisherman have a wonderful time and learn the ropes. We told him we’d be in touch the next time we’re in town. Don’t hesitate to book here and have a great time. I will note, I wore shorts as I didn’t travel with long pants. Heed their warning and wear pants, even in August, the morning was cool until the sun came up. Thanks Will!!

  My husband is an experienced fly fisherman and has fished several blue-ribbon rivers throughout the US, Montana rivers being his favorite. He researched several Utah fly fishing guides, and Will from Local Waters Fly Fishing Guides took the time to respond to Facebook (Utah Fly Fishing Group) IM's and reached out directly via cell phone to talk further. Needless to say, two walk and wade trips were booked, one 1/2 day and a second full day trip both very reasonably priced! The weather was HOT (August 6th and 8th), well into the mid 90's. Will knew his rivers well. They drove and hiked deep into Gods country where the water temp was cold and there was NOBODY around! Trip one expectations were exceeded, and he and Will totally crushed expectations on trip two. Amazing fishing to say the least. Will is not only a personable, knowledgably, and a professional guide but he has a process too! Two to three rods rigged with different patterns to match the bugs on/in the water resulting in ZERO lost time fishing. Fishing breaks were needed. Will showed off his casting expertise which was truly amazing to watch. He's ready to roll by swapping out rods to "match the hatch". My husband was gassed towards the end of trip two. His experience on the water was a team effort, they watched for noses up and hunted the fish. Truly amazing experience. Utah is by far his best experience to date and if my family is ever in Utah again Will is the guide to call. Great person and goes above and beyond in every facet including a top-drawer lunch on the full day walk and wade. My husband learned a few good tips and improved his "fish hold"!   Local Waters..five stars is not enough! I had the luck of catching Will has my guide for my first time fly fishing and I might be hooked (pun intended). Will is absolutely dialed in and makes sure you get what you want out of your trip. He brought endless stoke, was very engaging, empowering, and chock full of knowledge. He was more than happy to answer any question I had, untangle unbelievable knots I gifted to him, and set me up to bring in the hogs until my shoulder wanted to fall off. On top of the fishing itself, Will made sure I was set up for success before even meeting to make sure I knew what gear I needed to bring, where to link up with him, and make sure everything was squared away on his end. Local Waters was professional and adaptable - super easy to set up my trip with. I cannot recommend these guys enough!!
