Texas fishes like several states wearing one hat. You can cast for smallmouth on the Devils River and chase migrating tarpon in the nearshore Gulf without crossing a state line. The fishing culture here is old and deep, and the guide network built on top of it means a visitor rarely has to figure anything out alone.
