I took a spring break trip to Charleston with my two boys, ages 6 and 10, and came across Austin’s boat experience through Groupon. After doing some research and reading his glowing reviews, I decided to book—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment we arrived, Austin made us feel incredibly welcome. He went above and beyond to engage with my older son, fishing with him and keeping him entertained the entire time. Since I’m not a fisher myself and my husband couldn’t join us, it meant so much that Austin made my son’s experience so special and memorable. Austin is warm, down-to-earth, punctual, and truly a family-oriented person. I can’t recommend his boat experience enough—it was a highlight of our trip, and you absolutely won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Austin! Mason had an unforgettable time. Sharing a few photos from our day on the water!

Captain Austin is the man! I took my son (14) and his two friends out for an afternoon trip and can’t say enough about the experience. Captain Austin was great, easy to deal with and knew exactly the best spots to make the experience memorable. We could not stop hitting reds!!! I highly recommend Captain Austin to everybody. Once you fish with Grills and Thrills, you will not want to go anywhere else! L

Truly an experience we’ll never forget! Austin made the entire trip easy, fun, and educational. All 5 of us, including the kids (ages 7–10), had a BLAST and learned a ton. We fished in multiple spots and caught redfish, black drum, speckled trout, and sheepshead. We even hunted for shark teeth and got to see dolphins, up close. Again, truly a great experience! Austin’s knowledge, patience, and energy made this a Charleston vacation highlight. I could not make a higher recommendation! 10/10 would do again (will do again).
