  My coworker and I went fly fishing with Idaho Steelhead Guides November 7th and 8th 2021. We're both Colorado trout guides. I've been on my share of trips, and this was the most amazing trip I've ever been on. Our guide Steven Becker worked hard ALL DAY to make sure we were learning how to cast and read the water. My casting improved drastically by the second day. He changed flies when he thought there was a better fly to give us the best opportunity for each stretch of river. He put us on fish and we had a great time. Steven is a great boat captain, and he knows the local water and provides a great experience. We had big sandwiches and cookies for lunch. They were filling and delicious. He also went out of his way to make sure we ate a great breakfast!! Real Pro. I'm coming back at the end of November and already booked for next year!! I definitely recommend Idaho Steelhead Guides

  Had a excellent experience with ISG. I booked a one day on the Salmon with this fall. Everything was excellent and well planned and thought out. Communication prior to the trip was excellent, food and beverages were provided, and the entire day was pleasure. These folks grew up on these rivers, and it is obvious as their knowledge is amazing. They are skilled boaters and solid guides. Top qualify fly gear was provided, and the cast instruction (we chose Spey Rods), was excellent. This past years Steelhead run was challenging due to low numbers, but we worked hard and we found fish! I have used a number of guides both in the US and abroad over the last 15 plus years, and I must say that ISG ranks as one of the better operations that I have experienced. It was my first Idaho fishing trip, and I discovered what many already know, the entire area is fishy as heck! With so many rivers within a relatively short distance, I am planning on returning annually. Highly recommended.
