  Last-Minute Trip, First-Class Experience — Captain Dustin Delivers! I had a last-minute itch to go fishing and came across Captain Dustin and his crew at Russell Fisheries out of Newport, Oregon. I'm so glad I did. We headed out on the Miss Wanda, which is spacious and comfortable. The ride was incredibly smooth — a credit to both the vessel and Captain Dustin's smooth driving. You can tell he reads the water and knows exactly how to navigate these conditions. The boat is set up with electric reels, which makes a huge difference when you're pulling fish up from hundreds of feet deep. It keeps the action fast and means you're spending more time fishing and less time cranking. What truly sets Captain Dustin apart is his patience. He's the most patient guide I've ever come across — never gets frustrated, keeps things positive, and most importantly, he finds fish. We came back with halibut, lingcod, and rockfish. The photo says it all! I will absolutely be booking with Captain Dustin and crew again. If you're looking for a trip out of Newport — even last minute — look no further.

  We had a wonderful halibut fishing adventure. It was my first experience on the ocean and I felt safe on "Miss Wanda" with Skipper Dustin and Creedence Clearwater Revival playing :). We could tell Dustin had the necessary experience and knew what he was doing. The boat and fishing equipment were also top notch. Patience and Mike assisted further by baiting, casting, reeling, which made our catch possible by being so helpful and positive, thank you! Bub, the ship dog was very fish-energetic and also was a good lapwarmer at times. The mission was to catch. We brought home halibut, canary rockfish and some crab. Before booking this trip I canceled a trip that I had booked through another charter that did not have electric reels. Good call, Miss Wanda is equipped with electric reels (an absolute must for halibut fishing). The fish were filleted with absolute skill and neatness. We will enjoy good meals ahead. Don't hesitate, book today for your next adventure.

  If you get a chance go fishing with Dustin. Great guy, great boat and great fishing. Dustin was very knowledgeable and really easy to fish with. We did a halibut and bottom fish trip and got our limits and a few big lingcod. If you get a chance you should go with Russell Fisheries. Can't wait to go again!

  Awesome fishing trip. My family did a 1/2 day bottom/crabbing trip. Limited out on bottom fish. 3 short of limiting out on Lin cod. And the Captain offered to stay out until we caught the other 3. But my granddaughter was ready to go. Loved fishing with them and getting to know their family. Ill be booking all my charters through this wonderful family charter. Great, great value for your money. And a beautiful family and crew man Mike. Thanks for a wonderful experience. And the best part! They clean, filet, bag, boil and break down the crab and fish without charging. Its a nice perk to have when booking through them. Thanks guys.😍
